Pisteuomen Overhauled

As you can see, this site has been completely overhauled. I apologize for the rearrangement but I am attempting to make the site more user-friendly and polished. So, please pardon the construction, keep reading and keep interacting with me. Be blessed.

New Features On Pisteuomen

Over in the right-hand column of this site, I have added a couple of new features. The first is simply a click-and-subscribe link. By clicking on this link, you can add Pisteuomen to your page or site readers. It's that easy. I have also added a Pisteuomen banner that links back to my site. So, you can copy the code that is under the icon and paste it into your site, then the button (with link included) will appear on your page, just like it is here. Fun stuff! All subscriptions and banner additions are highly appreciated. To all who read and interact with me on this site: Thank you so much.

2 New Features On Pisteuomen

A few weeks ago I added a new feature to Pisteuomen that allowed those with visual impairments to easily access the site; they could simply listen to each post. This was also handy for podcasters; they could get each post on their ipods. Well, in addition to that feature, I have added 2 new ones. The first feature, located in the middle column at the top of this site allows persons to simply record their own reply to my posts (or to just leave a comment in general). All you have to do is hit the record button, select "allow" and then begin recording. When you're done, you can leave your email address and a comment or not. It's that easy. This feature is also handy for those with visual impairments. The second feature is quite similar. However, as opposed to simply leaving an audio reply, this feature allows viewers to leave a video reply (this, of course, requires a webcam). I will try this feature only temporarily, to see if it is worth keeping or not. To use this feature, look above the most recent post. There, you will see a collection of the latest podcasts. Select the one you want to listen to and comment on. When you're ready to comment, hit the red button. After this, you must select "allow". Then, if you're are a podcaster or are subscribed to my podcast, you can leave a video comment. With both features, I am sent the reply via email. Hope this helps some of you in navigating and interacting with me on Pisteuomen. --Michael

A Beginning Blogger: New Feature

This month I am adding a new feature to Pisteuomen: A Beginning Blogger. As a fairly new blogger myself (I've only been doing this 5 and 1/2 months), I realize how tough it is to get people to visit your site, comment, add you to their blogroll, etc. Now, I've done a lot to make my blog both resource and user-friendly and I believe that's contributed to its success but it might have also helped if some more well-known persons helped draw attention to Pisteuomen. Well, with the conviction that the biblio-blogosphere is not about constantly catering to the egos of a select few or having to be around for years in order to make it (among other things, like creating a resourceful, edifying online community), I thought I'd add this feature. That said, there are a few guidelines:

1. Your blog has to be less than 1 month old to be added to "A Beginning Blogger"

2. Your blog should be bible / theology oriented

3. Contact me (via Pisteuomen comment box) to let me know you're interested

Though this is in its trial stage, I do hope it proves to be a helpful addition to Pisteuomen. Who will be first?

New Features on Pisteuomen

I have added a couple of new features to Pisteuomen, the first is a "recent comments" section. What this does is that in the right hand sidebar, it shows the most recent comments from those who leave remarks regarding my posts. In connection with this, I have also added a second feature that allows readers of this blog to comment without having to sign-up for anything or to even have a blog. So, now, anyone can leave a comment if they'd like; it's as easy as that, there are no prerequisites.
