10 Great Things That Happened To Me In 2009

First of all, Happy New Year. Secondly, thanks to everyone who kept up with Pisteuomen through 2009, I hope 2010 is great for you! I enjoyed the year in blogging but, of course, there's much more to life than a weblog, so, here's a quick little review of some of the highlights of my hear. Here's a list of 10 great things that happened to me in 2009. If you have a minute, share some great things that happened to you as well:

10. I moved out of the state of KY for the first time, to MI, and am so glad I did

9. I was able to start my own graphic & web design business

8. Was elected to create & chair a Focus Group on the Gospel of Mark for the Stone-Campbell Journal Conference

7. Was elected to be the SBL student representative for the Eastern Great Lakes Region

6. Was invited to teach at Evangelical Theological College in Ethiopia in the summer of 2010

5. Purchased my first home

4. Got a full-ride scholarship for PhD work

3. Made it through my 1st semester of PhD work with a 3.9 GPA and was the first of my incoming class to pass my German Competency exams

2. Celebrated 6 years of marriage with my wife

1. The wife and I flew to Ethiopia to meet & get our son
